The pilot program will start at Kaohsiung Station, with plans to expand to other stations based on performance. 美國阿拉斯加航空（Alaska Airlines）一架波音737 Max 9客機5日在高空飛行時，窗戶與大塊機身突脫落，導致機艙破大洞瞬間失壓，最後緊急迫降。後續美國國家運輸安全委員（NTSB）指出，脫落的部分應是「機艙中部的門塞（door plug）」，而這塊門塞終於找到，掉落在波特蘭（Portland）一名老師家中後院。另外，地面上竟還找到高空掉落的iPhone，神奇的是幾乎沒有損傷，且仍舊在飛航模式。

The Taipei Dome, after undergoing a closed-door test, is set to host 13,000 fans for a test match on Saturday. Starting from November 10, the public can request tickets online for a free viewing of the warm-up baseball game at the Taipei Dome on November 18. The game is part of the essential competition facilities review by the Farglory Group. The November 14 warm-up match will be a closed-door event involving four top-tier teams. On November 18, the ＂Home Run Taipei Dome Warm-up Game＂ will take place, featuring a match-up between the training teams from the Asian Baseball Championship and the U-23 Baseball World Cup. The Dome is expected to open 13,000 seats to the public. Tickets can be requested online through the tixCraft ticketing system from November 10 to November 17. Each account is limited to 2 tickets, while supplies last. The company warns spectators that they will not consider compensation or other rights claims if they result from deficiencies or imperfections in the venue’s facilities. Farglory Group encourages adherence to venue regulations and recommends using public transportation to reach the games.

Kuomintang (KMT) Presidential Candidate Hou Yu-ih has set a deadline of Friday (Nov. 3) for final negotiations with the Taiwan People’s Party (TPP) ahead of the 2024 presidential election. If an agreement is not reached by then, there will be no further talks. A closed-door meeting between KMT Chairman Eric Chu, Hou, and TPP Chairman Ko Wen-je on Oct. 31 failed to forge an agreement. The preliminary negotiation was originally scheduled for Friday, but Chu initiated the meeting on Oct. 31 due to concerns about the outcome. The 53-minute meeting resulted in a deadlock, with all parties sticking to their viewpoints without reaching a consensus. Ko stated that there’s no need for another meeting without a clear action plan, while Chu emphasized that the focus of the tripartite meeting was to express good intentions and find a method for party negotiation rather than engaging in competition.
