NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The much-anticipated Ankeng light rail will begin operations on Feb. 10 (Fri.) in New Taipei City.
Despite initial concerns from local commuters about its convenience, New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Chu Ti-chih has assured that the city will provide connecting buses and YouBikes to address this issue.
Although there are some extra connections when using the light rail, Chu emphasized that the new service will help cut travel time to Taipei or New Taipei City to 15 to 20 minutes.
