TAINAN (TVBS News) — The Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival drew crowds once again on Sunday (Feb. 5), as it has done annually on the 15th day of the Lunar Calendar.
Each year, the small town in southern Taiwan prepares for a unique and hazardous celebration, one of the country's most representative religious events.
The festival, renowned for firing firecracker rockets directly into crowds of participants, is believed by locals to bring good fortune based on the number of firecracker rockets one receives.
This year, the central rocket tower launched two million firecracker rockets into the town, filling the air with excitement and delight.
