TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Tesla announced a price reduction for its Model Y vehicles on Friday (Feb. 3), following a wait of over a month.
In January, Tesla announced price cuts for Model 3, Y, and other vehicles in other countries.

The news sparked hope among Taiwanese consumers for a similar reduction in their local market.
According to Tesla's Taiwan website, the Model Y will see a reduction of 8% from its original price, offering savings of between NT$180K and NT$220K.
Despite this reduction, Taiwan's Tesla vehicles remain the fourth most expensive globally, following Hong Kong, Israel, and Slovenia, due to taxes and limited government subsidies.

However, some automotive experts anticipate further price reductions as Tesla's manufacturing costs continue to decline.
