TAINAN (TVBS News) — The Tainan Environmental Protection Bureau's campaign to hire 300 street sweepers has attracted a lot of attention in Taiwan.

Because of the pandemic, Taiwanese people are worried that they can't get a stable job, so they think that working for the local government is the perfect job.

Three thousand people went to compete to a secure a job that pays over NT$30,000. The oldest participant was 63. And there were 45 people who have a master's degree competing.

One of the tests was to run 60 meters while carrying a sandbag on your shoulders. Men had to carry 15 Kg and women had to carry 8 Kg.
