TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Starting today (March 6), students in Taiwan’s schools and educational institutions have the option not to wear masks indoors as the indoor mask mandate is lifted. 

Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced on Monday (Feb. 20) that the indoor mask mandate has been lifted. 

周一開始第一階段室內口罩令鬆綁，有連鎖buffet規定夾菜時還是要戴口罩，如果忘了帶店家可以提供，其他五星級飯店的buffet餐廳則不強制，而一般餐廳、百貨公司賣場大多也都不限制，指揮中心發言人羅一均認為新制上路磨合陣痛期會到3/6校園口罩令鬆綁。而北市教育局也祭出3大原則，而包含計程車在內，大眾運輸工具也都還是要配戴口罩。

內閣交接首日，行政院長陳建仁就到指揮中心視察，外界原本期待會同時宣布{室內口罩令}放寬，結果，指揮中心加開的臨時記者會只宣布邊境鬆綁。指揮官王必勝表示，主要還是口罩鬆綁牽動行政院其他部會，還需要開會討論，但預計本周內會宣布，類似韓國，將分成強制、建議、自主3類場所。

行政院長蘇貞昌自19日向總統請辭後，就沒有再對外公開露面，不過今天一早他是特別到中央疫情指揮中心，發紅包給留守的人員，另外也慰問政院的駐衛警，更謝謝他們四年多來的照顧！

總統蔡英文年初一啟動廟宇走春行程，但參拜前，也先到營區慰問，其中被點名組閣的國安會秘書指顧立雄，陪同出席！但對於改組，蔡顧兩人沒有回應！而總統結束慰問行程也到跟行政院長蘇貞昌關係不錯的保安宮參拜，但蘇揆沒有出現，反倒是到疫情指揮中心，去慰問留守人員！

元旦本土案例數持續新增，較上周日增7620例，單周增幅也達42.8%，指揮中心發言人莊人祥表示，第三波疫情可能會提前到一月底，到時可能單日新增案例會破4萬。另外，元旦起搭大陸直航班機入境旅客，得多做「唾液PCR檢測」才能通關，新制第一天的PCR結果，預計在24小時內就會出爐。

指揮中心罕見在周六召開記者會，目的是要澄清，媒體人趙少康質疑，為什麼國內採購的次世代疫苗，是原始株加BA.1，而不是原始株加BA.5。王必勝話說得重，要好好澄清，才不會讓去年，長者擔心疫苗副作用不願接種的事件重演。

疫情延燒超過兩年半、為了感謝醫護辛勞，指揮中心從防疫預算中撥出71.1億元，作為集檢所花費與醫護津貼，但部立南投醫院有醫護爆料，六月才收到去年中的防疫津貼三千元，這月初卻又收到疾管署公文被要求繳回。指揮中心發言人莊人祥也錄影說明，表示目前已經確定南投醫院照護確診病患為事實，防疫津貼不須繳回。

本土BA.4家庭群聚定序出爐，再增加一例10多歲兒童，這也是本土首例兒童確診BA.4，眼看開學在即，指揮中心也宣布停課標準將在開學後1個月左右，改成「個別快篩配套防疫假」，也將在下週一公布新措施；另外邊境是否會放寬單週6至8萬人入境，則要看BA.5疫情高峰在9月底、10月初過後，可以提前考慮。

指揮中心預估下週北部疫情將會升溫，其實從今(17)天確診數就能看出，比上週確診率還要增加4.2%，新北市單日確診更突破5千大關。另外兒童再增2例MIS-C個案，全台已經累計100例兒童MIS-C，5歲以下的幼童占比超過6成，至於幼兒BNT疫苗127萬劑，預估會在這週五到貨，最快下週六就能施打。
