TAIPEI (TVBS News) — China recently seemed to confirm that its drone carrier ship Zhu Hai Yun is now operational.
Footage from the CCTV broadcast showed five drones going airborne on top of a carrier which bore a strong resemblance to previous images of the drone mothership.
Chinese officials remarked before that drones are integral in dangerous head-on attacks that could dismantle the enemy's radar systems.
Analysts on social media have since pointed out that Zhu Hai Yun's design indicates it can control not just the five drones on the ship but many more using its large radar and antenna.
As China continues with its military drills and showcases, many countries are closely monitoring the situation for fear of sudden changes that would disrupt peace across the Taiwan Strait.
