TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona (MWC) will spotlight artificial intelligence (AI) until March 6, drawing participation from nearly 40 Taiwanese companies. The event, which launched on March 3 in Barcelona, Spain, emphasizes AI's growing influence in various tech sectors, with Taiwan's presence underscoring its commitment to innovation.
SOLOMON (所羅門), a leading AI robotics manufacturer, is showcasing its AI-powered image recognition technology. This technology identifies food items, calculates caloric content, and categorizes targets, highlighting AI's practical applications for daily health benefits. In addition, LITEON Technology (光寶) has unveiled an advanced access control system that integrates facial recognition and card scanning to enhance security. This system also detects harmful species, aligning with smart livestock farming initiatives.
The Taiwan Pavilion features tech giants such as HTC (宏達電), MediaTek (MTK, 聯發科技), and Gigabyte Technology (技嘉科技). Additionally, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA, 經濟部) has facilitated the participation of 12 more companies, showcasing Taiwan's robust contributions to AI technology and innovation at this year's MWC.
