TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — Taoyuan Metro (機場捷運, TMRT) announced on Tuesday (Feb. 25) that its total ridership surpassed 200 million following the conclusion of the 2025 Taiwan Lantern Festival (台灣燈會) in Taoyuan last weekend.
A surge in passengers, driven by the festival and the NT$1,200 monthly pass for Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung commuters, helped achieve this milestone ahead of the projected March timeline, said the Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (桃機公司).

The main exhibition sites, located near stations A18 and A19, attracted a large number of visitors, setting a new single-day record of 270,000 passengers. Taoyuan Metro expressed gratitude for the community's support and committed to maintaining convenient and comfortable transportation services. The company prepared special gifts for the 200 millionth passenger, including a 12-month commuter pass and a limited-edition gift bag.

Additionally, the five passengers before and after the milestone received a two-month commuter pass and a limited-edition gift bag. The 200 millionth passenger's card number is 1113425000323957. The card numbers for the other lucky recipients include 8281277000442360, 8266365890, 8685978930, 8483717027, 7380751114342184, 8266451641, 8437463390, 8265581466, 8468702132, and 8594396255.
