TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Sporadic rain in eastern Taiwan, the Hengchun Peninsula (恆春半島), and Matsu (馬祖) is expected on Thursday (Nov. 14), according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA, 中央氣象署). Northern mountain areas might experience isolated showers, while other regions, including Penghu (澎湖) and Kinmen (金門), can expect partly cloudy to sunny skies, the CWA stated.
Temperatures across Taiwan and Kinmen will range from 28-31 degrees Celsius, providing warm and slightly hot conditions. The low temperatures will hover between 22-25°C. Penghu will see temperatures between 23-26°C throughout the day, while Matsu will be cooler, ranging from 21-23°C. Early morning fog or low clouds may impact visibility in central and southern regions. Yunlin (雲林) and Chiayi (嘉義) already reported visibility below 200 meters. Changhua (彰化) also experiences reduced visibility, prompting drivers to exercise caution.
Air quality varies across the island, with Yilan (宜蘭), Hualien (花蓮), Taitung (台東), Kinmen, and Penghu enjoying "good" levels. Northern, Hsinchu-Miaoli (竹苗), Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan (雲嘉南), Kaohsiung-Pingtung (高屏), and Matsu have "moderate" air quality, while central Taiwan faces an "orange alert" warning.
