TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) on Friday (Oct. 4) stated that the government had demanded Farglory Group (遠雄) resolve the Taipei Dome's (台北大巨蛋) leakage issues before the end of the day.
The urgency comes as the National Day gala will take place at the venue on Saturday, marking its first non-sporting event since the gala's return to Taipei after eight years.
Vice Mayor Lee Shu-chuan (李四川) assured that workers have diligently repaired the leaks, and the seating arrangements for the gala are complete. Lee expressed confidence in favorable weather conditions for Saturday.
The "National Day Preparation Committee" (國慶籌備委員會) held a press conference at the Legislative Yuan (立法院), led by Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜). Attendees included Mayor Chiang, Vice Mayor Lee, Yunlin County Deputy Magistrate Hsieh Shu-ya (謝淑亞), and Deputy Interior Minister Wu Tang-an (吳堂安).
