TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan Beer Leopards announced Monday (Dec. 18) that former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins has joined their team.
Cousins, 33, an NBA All-Star and U.S. gold medalist, is set to debut at Taoyuan Arena in January. Yen Hsing-shu, the team's COO, called Cousins a "super reinforcement," citing his experience and skill as major assets.
CEO Johnny Chang echoed this sentiment, noting Cousins's positive impact on the team and regional basketball. Cousins, expressing excitement, praised the club and looked forward to playing in Taiwan.
The club has scheduled four home games in January, providing fans an opportunity to see Cousins's debut.
