TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Hundreds of people gathered around the Presidential Palace early on Tuesday (Oct. 10) morning, eagerly anticipating the National Day celebration.
Several participants shared their thoughts with TVBS on this special occasion. Chen Mei-ju emphasized the significance of the moment, pointing out that the Republic of China was born amid great hardships.
"What we cherish and take pride in today is a testament to their enduring efforts, and I hope that we can all work harder to create an even better society," Chen added with a heartfelt statement.
Wu Chun-yin couldn't contain her excitement during the interview because it was her first time attending the National Day Celebration Event. She expressed her wish for Taiwan to have a prosperous and stable future.
Taiwanese people also sent their sincere wishes to the country. As Huang I-sheng said: "I wish Taiwan to shine on the international stage."
The Double Tenth Day celebration showcased Taiwanese people's unity more than ever in the face of complicated international dynamics.
