HSINCHU (TVBS NEWS) — A group of elementary students in Hsinchu, Taiwan, have recently made headlines for inventing an automatic shrimp peeler under the guidance of their teacher.

Using 3D printing technology, the students created a machine capable of deshelling and deveining shrimp simultaneously.

According to one of the students, the inspiration for the invention came from a dislike of the time-consuming and sometimes difficult task of peeling shrimp and a desire to help others.

"Seeing that many disabled people have no way to peel shrimp, I wanted to invent a device to help peel shrimp more effortlessly and conveniently," she explained.

After seven rounds of trial and error, the students could finally produce a working prototype of the shrimp peeler.

"Inventions come from people's laziness and the desire to improve life," said their teacher, Wang Yu-ting.

The ingenuity and compassion demonstrated by these young inventors serve as a reminder of the power of innovation to create solutions that benefit society as a whole.
