TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Representative to the United States, Hsiao Bi-khim, commented Tuesday on mainland China's alleged "spy balloon."
"We Taiwanese citizens are routinely subjected to encroachments in multiple gray areas, and I hope this will provide a deeper understanding of our feelings," said Hsiao.
Hsiao also highlighted Washington's current stance on the U.S.-Taiwan ties.
Hsiao explained, "the U.S. has consistently been focused on its relationship with Taiwan, valuing shared principles and advancing mutual interests."
She added: "Efforts are being made to uphold Taiwan's democracy and freedom while also fostering economic cooperation and promoting regional stability between the two nations."
