AIPEI (TVBS News) — TVBS General Manager Sheena Liu has proven herself to be a leading global force and an expert in digital media transformation, becoming the first person in the media and entertainment industry in Taiwan to receive the prestigious award this year.

Liu has taken TVBS on the path of digital transformation since assuming the General Manager role for TVBS in 2019, transforming the traditional television station into a more influential "all-around digital media."
"On our path, assisting all of our media personnel to become multifaceted and multitalented, develop a strong sense of digital thinking, and be able to utilize all of our original entertainment content and expand on that," said Liu.
"I joined TVBS in 2019, and my goal at the time was to complete the mission of the digital transformation of TVBS steadily. Today, TVBS has broken away from the traditional media mold and is backed by powerful technology," Liu added.
The channel's original content can not only be found throughout major digital platforms, but TVBS has also branched into e-commerce and continues to expand on the company's entertainment IP for content such as the channel's hit variety show, Let's Open.
Liu explained: "We believe that truth and trust are news media's most important core values. We uphold truth and trust, and together with technology, we hope that through the various services and products, we can serve Chinese-speaking audiences in Taiwan, abroad, and all over the world to understand Taiwan better.
Liu has had her eyes set on the international market and has launched the companies' TVBS app, international YouTube Page, and TVBS World and English news section to create increasingly more global and diverse content for audiences worldwide.
