TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Following South Korean singer IU's spectacular sell-out concert, many fans who failed to secure tickets are pleading online that they are willing to change their names just for entry.

IU has announced two concerts at Taipei Arena on April 6 and 7. The tickets, a total of 20,000, were sold out within just one minute on March 6.

The concert organizer, Kwan's International, has imposed a strict real-name system that requires ticket holders to present valid identification with a photo at the entrance.

According to event rules, ticket buyers can modify only the "name" or "ID number" once. If both are incorrect, they cannot apply for modification.

However, under Taiwan's Name Act, one can only change their name up to three times and the surname just once, which leaves many desperate fans looking for ticket sellers who share their surname or full name.

Some ticket sellers, demanding the fans accept their terms, ask buyers to change their names at the Household Registration Office. It demonstrates the extreme lengths fans are willing to go to see their idol perform live.
