In the U.S., nonfarm payrolls increased by 256,000 in December, marking a nine-month high and causing unemployment rates to drop unexpectedly. This strong economic performance led to speculation that the Fed may slow interest rate cuts. Consequently, the U.S. 30-year Treasury yield briefly surpassed 5%, and the 10-year yield reached 4.79%, their highest since November 2023.
