TAIPEI (TVBS News) — WeatherRisk (天氣風險公司) forecasted a significant drop in temperatures across northern Taiwan starting Tuesday (Nov. 26) evening, with lows expected to reach around 15 degrees Celsius. This marks the onset of the first cold air mass of the autumn-winter season, impacting northern and Yilan (宜蘭) cities with temperatures dipping to 12-14°C in the mornings and evenings, WeatherRisk analyst Ou Tsung-hsueh (歐宗學) noted.

Suburban areas may drop to around 10°C, and daytime highs will reach 19-20°C. In central Taiwan, morning and evening lows will hover around 12-14°C, with daytime highs of 22-23°C. Southern regions will experience lows of 15-18°C and highs of 23-25°C. Ou stated that rainfall will diminish by nightfall, transitioning to predominantly cloudy skies. While central and southern regions will remain unaffected, experiencing sunny to partly cloudy weather, the central area may see slightly more cloud cover. The cold air mass will bring the lowest temperatures from Wednesday evening through Saturday morning.

As this dry cold front moves in, WeatherRisk advises caution regarding the substantial temperature differences between day and night. High-risk groups, including those with cardiovascular conditions, the elderly, and young children, should dress appropriately and keep a jacket handy for early morning or nighttime outings.
