TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Global pop sensation Dua Lipa is set to return to Taiwan for the first time in six years as part of her “Radical Optimism” Asia tour in November. In an interview with TVBS, she shared her excitement about reconnecting with her Taiwanese fans and tasting local delicacies.
"I'm very excited,” Lipa expressed during the exclusive interview. “It's been a long time since I've been back to do a tour in Asia and come back to Taipei.”
"I haven't been back since 2018, and I missed the opportunity on my last tour. So, I’m going to make sure this one is very special,” added the British-Albanian singer.
Discussing the biggest challenge of her upcoming Asia tour, Dua Lipa said, “It's a relentless show. It's high energy, nonstop, back-to-back. I think it’s keeping up the stamina throughout the tour.”
With fans eagerly awaiting her return, Dua Lipa’s Taiwan concert will be held at the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium (樂天桃園棒球場) on Nov. 20.
Her "Radical Optimism" Asia tour will include stops in Singapore on Nov. 6, Jakarta on Nov. 9, Manila on Nov. 13, Tokyo on Nov. 16 and Nov. 19, Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 23, Bangkok on Nov. 27, and Seoul on Dec. 4.
Dua Lipa, who has won three Grammy Awards and seven Brit Awards, boasts over 42 billion digital streams. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people of 2024. Her song "Dance The Night," featured in the soundtrack of the fantasy comedy "Barbie," is also a Golden Globe nominee.
