TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism (台北市觀傳局) announced plans on Friday (Sept. 20) to release 5,000 free tickets for Taiwanese pop diva Jody Chiang's (江蕙) National Day evening concert, which will be distributed in two phases.
Chiang will perform her comeback concert at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) on Oct. 5, marking the venue's first large-scale non-sporting event.
The department confirmed that the free tickets will be primarily available through the "udn fun life" (udn售票網線上系統) online ticketing platform. Reservations will open at noon on Sept. 30, with a limit of two tickets per person.
To accommodate seniors over 65 who may not be comfortable with online systems, the department has arranged an offline ticketing option. A total of 200 sets of tickets will be available by mail request, with applications accepted until Sept. 25. A lottery will be held on Oct. 1, and winners will be notified by phone.
Chiang retired in 2015 and later disclosed that she underwent chemotherapy for cancer. On Aug. 27, she announced her return to the stage after a nine-year hiatus, exciting her fans across Taiwan.
