TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Olympic badminton men's doubles gold medalist Lee Yang (李洋) officially retired on Sunday (Sept. 8), expressing his hope that people will remember Taiwan's strength in men's doubles when they think of him.
The retirement ceremony took place at Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋), where Lee's past partners, including Wang Chi-lin (王齊麟), who won two Olympic gold medals with him, attended to offer their blessings.
The event featured a tribute video highlighting Lee's significant moments in international competitions. The footage included well-wishes from foreign badminton stars such as Indonesia's Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan.
