TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA) announced a weakening eastern monsoon is bringing sporadic showers to the north coast of Keelung, the eastern region, and the southernmost areas bordering the Taiwan Strait on Tuesday (Oct. 31) through the next day.
Though accompanied by sharp temperature changes in a day, clear weather is expected to cover major areas throughout Taiwan from Thursday to the end of the week, except for sporadic showers in the eastern and southernmost regions.
The monsoon sees a stronger start next Monday, bringing chilly weather and sporadic showers to the northeastern regions, while other areas expect clear and partly cloudy skies.
Meteorologist Peng Chi-min draws attention to a surging wave of the monsoon next Monday on a live weather broadcast operating on Yahoo TV, signaling a temperature drop that will become prominent from Sunday until next Tuesday.
The forecast predicts a gradual rebound in temperatures next Wednesday and Thursday, followed by another downward trend, which indicates a pattern similar to descending stairs.
