TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Typhoon Bolaven is intensifying, with significant weather variations reported across Taiwan on Wednesday (Oct. 11), where temperature differences between day and night could reach up to 10 degrees accompanied by rainfall.
Greater Taipei regions, including Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, and Taoyuan, as well as the eastern half of Taiwan, are expected to experience rain.
Nationwide, morning and evening temperatures are dropping to between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius, with some regions possibly going as low as 21 and 22 degrees.
Partial rainfall is expected in northern Taoyuan and the eastern half of the region due to the influence of the northeastern monsoon. At the same time, other areas will be mostly cloudy to clear.
Meteorological expert Wu Der-rong suggests in his column that the typhoon will continue to strengthen.
Meanwhile, the Central Weather Bureau predicts that the typhoon will make a detour near the sea surface near Guam, accelerating away from Japan.
