TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The intensifying northeast monsoon has brought a conspicuous rise in cloud volume over northern and central Taiwan and caused a significant temperature drop on Friday (Oct. 27).
Precipitation has gradually increased with noticeable rain in areas including north of Miaoli, Hengchun and Northeast Coast, and flash showers are possible from regions south of Taichung.
The mountainous regions are also experiencing more significant rainfall as atmospheric conditions become unstable.
The northeast monsoon has imported cooler northern air, causing a noticeable temperature drop, particularly in Taiwan's north, northeast, and east.
The weekend will still be influenced by the northeast monsoon and the eastward movement of moisture from South China, bringing the chance of scattered showers everywhere. Notably, northern, eastern, and central-southern mountainous regions will have more rainfall.
