TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The latest poll conducted by United Daily News reveals that Lai Ching-te, the candidate of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), is still in the lead with 30% of the votes in the presidential race.
Kuomintang (KMT) candidate Hou Yu-ih has witnessed a gradual decline in his support over the past five months.
In the meantime, Ko Wen-je, the candidate of Taiwan People's Party (TPP), and Hou are competing for the second position. As per the poll results, Ko has secured 21% support, while Hou lags behind with only 20%. Hou's support has dropped from 29% at the end of April to merely 20% now.
As the 2024 Presidential Election approaches, Terry Gou's potential candidacy as an independent presidential candidate has everyone's attention.
The poll was conducted between Sept. 22 and 25, interviewing 1,082 adults. However, 339 individuals refused to participate.
