TAIPEI (TVBS News) — iPhone enthusiasts in Taiwan formed lengthy queues outside stores as they eagerly awaited the release of the latest Apple product, the iPhone 15, on Friday (Sept. 22).
They aimed to secure their spot as early adopters of the cutting-edge device.
At the Apple Xinyi A13 store in Taipei, initially reserved for preordered customers, the line extended to over a hundred people, underscoring the fervor surrounding the new iPhone.
One dedicated customer revealed that he had risen at 3 a.m. to ensure his place in the early morning queue.
The extended wait times were not solely due to the phone's allure; service providers enticed customers with discounts, further fueling the desire to upgrade their devices.
Despite concerns over the new phone's shorter battery life, foreign media reports suggest that the issue may be resolved within a week.
