TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Meteorologists have announced weather changes for the northeastern region. Increased cloud cover on the coast of Keelung City and the Greater Taipei Area from Saturday through Monday (Sept. 23-25) is expected.
Northern Taiwan will experience short periods of rain, while other areas will remain mostly sunny during the weekend.
Continued northeastern winds from next Tuesday to Thursday (Sept. 26-28) suggest that the rainy regions will expand.
Brief spells of rain are expected over the northern and eastern halves of the island, while the central and south will experience partially cloudy to sunny weather next week.
More accurate forecasts are expected on Monday. The strength of the northern cold pressure and the front will determine the potential disturbance from a tropical system during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
