TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan experienced clear to partly cloudy skies on Tuesday (Sept. 19), with strong easterly winds affecting the southeastern regions and the Hengchun Peninsula, leading to sporadic showers.
High temperatures ranged from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in the island's western half and 31 to 32 degrees in the eastern regions. As autumn draws near, minimum overnight temperatures have also dropped to between 24 and 26 degrees.
From Wednesday through Thursday, the easterly winds will persist with increased humidity, resulting in thunderstorms in Greater Taipei, southern regions, and mountainous districts.
From Friday to the following Monday, Taiwan will welcome northeast winds, with the northern and eastern sectors expected to see increased cloud coverage, rainy weather, and daytime temperatures falling to 31 degrees Celsius.
