TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The upcoming Shanghai-Taipei Twin-City Forum, happening from Aug. 29-31, will have Taipei City Mayor Chiang Wan-an in attendance for the first time.
With the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, the forum's theme has generated significant interest. This year, in addition to the main conference, there will be sub-forums dedicated to the digital economy, healthcare, and environmental protection.
The forum's agenda includes signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and exchanges in badminton, exhibition marketing, sustainable energy, and city governance.
In response to media inquiries, Taipei City Government Spokesperson Yin Wei stated that ongoing discussions are taking place regarding the forum and that more information will be released once finalized.
