TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Department of Transportation, Taipei City Government, reminded passengers on Thursday (July 20) that the metro lines will operate normally during the Wan An air raid drill. However, entry and exit to the stations will be restricted.
Also, city buses will stop at roadsides or platforms for passengers to disembark for evacuation from 13:30 to 14:00 on July 24 (Monday) for the annual drill.
For YouBike users, it is recommended to park your bike at the side of the road. Taxi drivers must ensure a safe stop and may discuss fares with passengers during the process.
The drill aims for civil-military joint air defense, and the public is urged to cooperate with police and civil defense personnel for evacuation.
Penalties for violating drill regulations can be severe, with fines ranging from NT$30,000 to NT$150,000. Passengers will be reminded through station announcements to avoid lingering at entrances or exits.
