TAIPEI (TVBS News) — AMD Chair and CEO Lisa T. Su arrived on a private jet at Taipei Songshan Airport around 2 p.m. on Monday (July 17). Her conferment ceremony for an honorary doctoral degree was initially scheduled for the same day and postponed to Thursday (July 20).
According to the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Su will deliver a speech at the conferment ceremony held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the university's library in Hsinchu City. The university announced that today's ceremony was rescheduled due to Su's flight delay.
In related news, Su has no public schedule during her visit to Taiwan but will likely pay visits to supply chain companies on Wednesday, including high-level executives at TSMC.
Before Su's arrival, the Chairman and CSO of Pegatron, T.H. Tung, confirmed that the AMD Chair and CEO will meet with the company's executives to exchange insights on industrial developments.
