TAIPEI (TVBS News) — To attract domestic and foreign tourists, Taitung County Government brought local businesses in accommodation, souvenirs, agriculture tourism, and other industries to Taipei for a self-guided tour promotion.
"We aim to raise awareness of Taitung among more people, and these businesses can help us achieve that goal by offering various travel arrangements." Taitung County Deputy Mayor Wang Chi-hui said.
Along with highlighting Taitung's most famous attractions, like the Taiwan International Balloon Festival, the government announced plans to shoot a reality show featuring celebrities experiencing the slow lifestyle.
Taitung's natural beauty and way of life through the reality show can be highlighted to audiences throughout Asia and beyond.
The county government aims to boost tourism by combining Austronesian Culture with marine recreation and the abundance of resources and activities available in Taitung County.
