KAOHSIUNG (TVBS News) — Foxconn Founder Terry Gou and New Taipei City Mayor Hou You-yi have expressed unity in their bid for the Kuomintang's (KMT) presidential nomination, following discussions aimed at resolving their differences.
Gou has been actively establishing grassroots support by visiting night markets in southern Taiwan. He thinks that these markets reflect the financial situation of regular individuals, and keeping a close eye on their businesses is essential.
Hou, in turn, praised Gou's character and emphasized their shared commitment to confronting any challenges that may arise.
The KMT has yet to announce its presidential nominee, but Gou and Hou are vigorously campaigning throughout Taiwan to prepare for the race.
