TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Czech Republic's Parliament Speaker, Marketa Pekarova Adamova, declared on Tuesday that her country would support Taiwan without fail in a statement made during her address to the Legislative Yuan (parliament).
Pekarova Adamova emphasized that the stories of Czech and Taiwan are intertwined, and both nations share the responsibility of deepening cooperation and advancing freedom and democracy.
She further underscored that Taiwan and Czech are "in the same boat" and pledged that her government would stand with Taiwan in any situation.
Pekarova Adamova received the medal of honor for leading a delegation on a visit to the Taiwanese parliament in Taipei.
The delegation arrived in Taiwan for a 6-day visit, focusing on exploring opportunities for business, trade, research, education, culture, and other areas of cooperation.
