TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan Lantern Festival has returned to Taipei after 23-years in four exhibition districts featuring hundreds of lantern installations.
In Taipei City Hall, you can find a display of charming, plump rabbits. In the eastern district, a massive bunny sits atop Exit 1 of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station, and an adorable eight-legged "monster" hides in the shopping alleyways.
At the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, a 15-meter-long firepit serves as the backdrop for a light and sound performance, which takes place every half hour starting at 5:15 p.m. each day.
"The Happy Party Lighting Area in front of the City Hall features not only traditional lighting crafted by artisans but also incorporates innovative AR technology," said Hsiao Chun-chieh, chief secretary of Taipei City Government's Department of Information and Tourism.
The popular rabbit ear lights are now available for purchase at physical stores.
