NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Six friends were surprised to win NT＄2 million and a Mercedes car from scratch-off tickets on Friday (Jan. 27) in New Taipei.
The purchase of lotteries and scratch-off tickets is popular during the New Year holidays in Taiwan.
The group's celebratory noise caused neighbors to call the police to the scene.
One group member stated that they plan to sell the car to a friend, with the estimated total payout after taxes to be around NT＄3.2 million, to be split among the six friends.
