TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's Executive Yuan announced Tuesday (Jan. 3) an increase in overtime pay for Taiwan police officers and firefighters from NT$17,000 to NT$19,000.
Overtime pay had not changed for over 20 years.
However, there are still some complaints among lower-rank police officers and firefighters because overtime hours are limited to 80 hours.
As a police officer argued, it is impossible to apply for overtime pay to reach NT$19,000.
