TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A well-known convenience store chain has announced plans to increase its tea egg price from NT$10 to NT$13 on Dec. 28 in an effort to combat the rising prices of chicken feed.
This is their first hike in 7 years and comes as other brands are opting for discounted combo offerings instead.
The government plans on taking action, too, by expanding chicken feed production and increasing coop availability – supporting Taiwan's farmers who have been struggling due to the high costs of operating their poultry farms lately.
