TAICHUNG (TVBS News) — The Taichung District Prosecutor's Office indicted six men on Thursday for alleged sexual exploitation offenses under the "Child and Youth Sexual Exploitation Prevention Act."
Led by Chen Tso-wei, the group reportedly emulated "South Korea's Nth Room case," using deceptive tactics such as offering easy money for photos or iPhones to lure victims, profiting over NT$8 million.
The syndicate also used explicit videos to blackmail the young girls involved, threatening to leak their nude photos if they did not comply. Investigators found that 86 girls, the youngest being nine years old, had fallen victim to this exploitation, with several experiencing self-harm due to the abuse.
Of the accused, three, including Chen, were deemed particularly culpable by the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office, warranting a recommended sentence of 30 years due to the severe impact on human dignity.
The other three accused face recommended sentences of five to ten years.
