TAIPEI (TVBS News) — New Taipei's annual Christmasland will hold its grand opening on Friday (Nov. 17), illuminating the skies with light sculptures that mark the start of a series of fun festivities.
New Taipei Deputy Mayor Liu Ho-jan anticipates the launch of Chritmasland this year to attract a crowd exceeding record visits from the previous year, with 7.7 million people coming to the event.
A pop concert is ready to ramp up the festive spirit on Dec. 9-10, much to the excitement of numerous fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.
The New Taipei Christmas Market, themed the "Santa gift box," plans to add culinary delights to the festive space as the market encourages the attendance of the city's most vetted shops from Dec. 1 to 3, offering local gourmet foods and tourism factories.
In collaboration with the local government, the German Trade Office Taipei (AHK, Taiwan) is hosting a Christmas party from Dec. 15 to 17, enchanting the festive winter scene with an authentic German Christmas village built in the downtown area.
