TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Kuomintang (KMT) and Taiwan People's Party (TPP) are set to host the first round of possible election alliance talks on Saturday (Oct. 14) from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Taipei Howard Plaza Hotel.
The TPP will send out presidential candidate Ko Wen-je's campaign director, Huang Shan-shan, and Ko's office director, Chou Yu-hsiu.
Meanwhile, the KMT presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih's campaign manager, King Pu-tsung, and the party's Secretary General, Justin Huang, will attend the meeting.
Hou's campaign office announced on Friday that while the meeting's video recording will not be publicly available, it can be released if there are disputes.
The office reiterated there are no predetermined prerequisites for the discussion and is keeping an open attitude, suggesting that all topics are up for debate.
