《衛報》報導，台裔美籍模特兒Shereen Wu，近日透過TikTok分享一起事件，受到外界關注。她指出，美國知名設計師科斯特洛（Michael Costello），近日在IG限時動態分享一張洛杉磯時裝秀的照片。雖然Shereen Wu辨識出照片中是她在走秀，但臉卻疑似遭到AI技術加工，變成一張白人女性的臉。
報導指出，21歲的Shereen Wu是獨立模特兒，沒有與經紀公司簽約。她透露，她日前在Art Hearts Fashion洛杉磯時裝週，為科斯特洛走秀時，沒有收取任何酬勞。對Shereen Wu來說，只要能增加曝光率，無償工作不是問題。然而，該設計師分享的照片卻經過修圖，不僅無助於增加她的曝光率，就連化妝師和造型師的心血都化為烏有，讓她相當氣憤。儘管這張遭篡改的走秀照來歷不明，但Shereen Wu推測某個人，利用AI技術換掉她的臉。

遭點名的知名設計師科斯特洛（Michael Costello）是實境秀《Project Runway》（決戰時裝伸展台）的參賽者，與巨星碧昂絲、珍妮佛羅培茲與席琳狄翁都有合作經驗。他2日在IG發表聲明，稱照片是粉絲二創作品，他並未進行任何更動。但他承認應對分享照片負責。「我當時情緒激動，分享了所有標記我的圖片」
科斯特洛同時指出，由於Shereen Wu的影片含有不實指控，他的品牌正在進行法律程序。他同時澄清，該時裝秀並非由他企劃，他不知道Shereen Wu是無償工作，「當我從她的影片中，發現她沒有獲得任何酬勞後，我對她的才華和時間做出補償」。然而該聲明不到24小時就遭到刪除。
科斯特洛揚言要走法律途徑後，Shereen Wu聯絡時尚工作者權益組織「Model Alliance」，該組織為她介紹了律師。Model Alliance創始人齊夫（Sara Ziff）表示，過去十年來，許多模特兒發現自己的形象被大幅竄改，或以其他方式使用，Shereen Wu的案例也是其中之一。她指出，縱使AI可能是新創技術，但模特兒圖片遭濫用的問題已經存在多年。
