TAICHUNG (TVBS News) — A troubling pattern of incidents has emerged at Park Lane by CMP (台中勤美誠品) over the past three months, where three individuals tragically fell from the same spot on the 11th-floor parking lot. The department store completed the installation of an "invisible iron window" to prevent further tragedies on Thursday (April 24).
Park Lane by CMP officials explained that they finished adding protective nets and an area alarm system to floors 4 through 14. They also adjusted access to the parking lot, restricting it to the ninth floor on weekdays and implementing controlled access on weekends. The mall has also bolstered patrols to enhance immediate response capabilities.
Understanding the importance of local cultural and psychological beliefs, Park Lane by CMP invited professional teams to conduct blessing and purification rituals in the space. These efforts aim to address emotional disturbances caused by the incidents and provide visitors with psychological comfort and blessings.
Park Lane by CMP urged the public to consider the broader impact of such events and encourages everyone to support those facing difficulties. They remind the community that seeking help is a sign of strength, not solitude. By fostering understanding and care, the mall hopes to become a source of gentle and steadfast support for all.
