TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Chunghwa Post (中華郵政) reported on Tuesday (March 4) that it prevented losses amounting to NT$896 million last year, up from NT$746 million in 2023, showcasing its commitment to safeguarding citizens' assets. According to tallies, it successfully intercepted 2,281 fraud cases in 2024, a significant increase from the previous year's 1,643 cases.
Hsieh Miao-hsueh (謝妙雪), deputy director of Chunghwa Post's savings department, emphasized the company's dedication to providing inclusive financial services across Taiwan and intensified its efforts to combat fraud. In recognition of its efforts, Chunghwa Post received the "Financial Anti-Fraud Model Award" (金融反詐楷模獎), further affirming its determination and capability in preventing financial fraud.
This year, the company plans to strengthen collaborations with the Ministry of the Interior's Criminal Investigation Bureau's Anti-Fraud Center (警政署刑事警察局詐欺犯罪防治中心), judicial authorities, and other financial institutions. By leveraging technology, Chunghwa Post aims to enhance its fraud prevention measures, fulfill its corporate social responsibility, and ensure a safer financial environment for the public.
