CHIAYI (TVBS News) — A pet owner in southern Taiwan sparked widespread attention on social media in late February by offering an NT$300,000 reward for information about her long-lost dog that went missing 15 years ago. The owner expressed a deep desire to see her dog again, regardless of its current condition or whereabouts.

Two women allegedly took the white poodle in Dalin Township (大林鎮), Chiayi County. The missing male poodle, described as medium-sized with a terrier-like snout and a 10-centimeter tail, was not microchipped, complicating the search. The owner struggled to let go of the dog's fate, seeking online help for any possible leads.

The heartfelt post has ignited a wave of support and skepticism online. Many users wish for a reunion, while others doubt the dog's survival after so long. Some questioned the timing of the reward, to which the owner replied that previous search attempts vanished due to account issues.

According to United Daily News (UDN, 聯合新聞網), the owner emphasized the dog's familial significance. As the search continues, the owner hopes for closure, whether through reunion or information about her beloved pet's fate.
