South Korean cheerleaders join WBCQ (TVBS News)

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 6th World Baseball Classic Qualifiers (WBCQ) began at the Taipei Dome on Friday (Feb. 21), with 13 popular South Korean cheerleaders, known as Classic Stars, invited by the organizers known to support the team Taiwan. The Classic Stars include notable names such as Nam Min-jeong (南珉貞), Lee Ah-young (李雅英), Kim Do-a (金渡娥), Kim Na-yeon (金娜妍), and Bae Soo-hyun (裵垂鉉). Also, other names of well-known cheerleaders, including Byun Ha-yul (邊荷律) and Lee Dan-bi (李丹妃), will take the stage during Taiwan's evening debut against Spain.

Organizers have released the full schedule and support groups timetable, revealing that the Classic Stars will perform alongside the CT Amaze cheerleaders from the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL, 中華職棒) during both afternoon and evening sessions. The cheerleaders will energize the crowd with their custom-made jerseys and vibrant halftime performances. The team Taiwan, currently ranked second in the world, will compete against the team Nicaragua, ranked 16th globally, on Sunday (Feb. 23).
