TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) marked his 101st day in office by launching the "Action 101 Strategy" (行動101策略) on Wed (Aug. 28). This initiative aims to advance open government practices, disclose significant project details, and appoint sustainability officers in government agencies to achieve the 2050 net-zero transition goal.

At the "Active and Innovative (AI) Cabinet 101st Day" (行動創新AI內閣執政101) press conference, Cho emphasized the symbolic importance of Taipei 101, vowing to surpass the tallest building in Taiwan in innovation, breakthroughs, and proactive actions, creating a fairer society and a more civilized nation.

Cho outlined several policies, including new flood control measures, anti-fraud initiatives, and advancements in renewable energy and technology. The government plans to explore geothermal and hydropower energy sources while carefully planning existing wind and solar power projects.

In response to extreme climate change and sustainable development, the government will appoint deputy heads of each ministry as Chief Sustainability Officers. Cho expressed gratitude for the mutual growth over the past 100 days and called for a new relationship between the executive and legislative branches to demonstrate the development and results of democratic politics.
