TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) hosted a welcoming dinner on Monday (June 24) for Prime Minister Terrance Drew of Saint Kitts and Nevis and his delegation. Minister Lin conveyed Taiwan's sincere appreciation for the visit.

Minister Lin expressed gratitude for Saint Kitts and Nevis's unwavering support for Taiwan's role on the international stage. Prime Minister Drew reiterated his commitment to supporting Taiwan's global participation and opposing military threats to Taiwan's security. He highlighted ongoing cooperation between the two nations in education, agriculture, technology, and sustainable development and looked forward to expanding these efforts, particularly in renewable energy and public health.

 

During the dinner, Prime Minister Drew commended the Taiwanese government for meticulously planning his visit. He celebrated the longstanding relationship between the two countries, rooted in shared democratic values and mutual respect for human rights, and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations in renewable energy and health care. The visit, which began last Saturday, concludes on Wednesday.
