TAIPEI (TVBS News) — NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote at the National Taiwan University Sports Center on Sunday (June 2), highlighting AI's pivotal role in spearheading a new global industrial revolution.
Leading the generative AI wave, Huang repeatedly highlighted Taiwan's critical role in AI advancements and delved into recent and future AI trends. "At the foundation of everything that you saw were two fundamental technologies, accelerating computing and artificial intelligence running inside the omniverse. These technologies are going to reshape the computer industry," he said.
"Someday in the near future, we will have continuous weather prediction at every square kilometer on the planet. You will always know what the climate is going to be," the CEO added.
A diverse crowd gathered a few hours ahead of the popular businessman's much-anticipated speech. Today's event marked his second public appearance since arriving in Taiwan a week ago.
Two Taiwanese engineers, Joe Yu and Sandy Chen, explained their reasons for attending the event and expressed their thankfulness to NVIDIA for “letting the world see Taiwan."
"I want to learn more about the new AI applications in the industry," Yu added.
Erdi Ozuag, a tech journalist based in Istanbul, shared the most interesting AI topic from the NVIDIA speech, stressing, "Software and hardware are big topics for me to see a new kind of revolutionary thing in Jensen's keynote."
Meanwhile, Gavin Jang, a student from NTU College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, and Roy Chou, a National Central University Business Administration major student, expressed excitement and hoped NVIDIA would release a new product today.
Carrying an NVIDIA product, Jang shared, “I hope bringing the card here gets Jensen Huang's signature, and it can bring us luck.”
